Board Member
The role of the Board members for Spay Neuter Incentive Program of West Virginia will be to ensure our programs are in line with our mission and the needs of the community. We are seeking members who can actively engage in and guide efforts to shape and strengthen our programmatic direction, strategic vision, financial stability, and community presence.
We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit. This is a volunteer position that requires a time commitment for bi-annual meetings, availability by phone or email to provide guidance or feedback in between Board meetings for critical or time sensitive issues and questions, and potentially involvement in some of our larger community events.
Responsibilities

Act as an ambassador for the organization.

Review and, when necessary, participate in updating the organization’s strategic plan, ensuring that operations are consistent with the goals and priorities outlined in the Mission Statement.

Review key performance indicators to evaluate impact and progress.

Approve the annual budget, being informed of, and meeting all, legal and fiduciary responsibilities.

Take on special assignments when necessary.
Expectations

Commit to a two-year term, which can be renewed upon Board approval.

Participate in bi-annual board meetings which will generally be in-person, in Morgantown.

Be an active participant in all meetings and take initiative.

Be an advocate for SNIP WV and raise awareness for our work.

Help further our mission and programs by giving of your time, skills, knowledge, resources, and networks.
