SNIP WV is searching for an experienced Veterinary Assistant to add to our team to get our clinic open! SNIP WV is 501c3 organization located in Morgantown, West Virginia, and will be the first high volume spay neuter clinic in the north central West Virginia area. We will serve clients in north central West Virginia as well as the surrounding areas of Pennsylvania and Maryland. This clinic is desperately needed so that spay/neuter is more accessible to everyone. With the addition of this clinic in our community, more animals will get spayed or neutered ensuring a decrease in the influx of animals to our local shelters and rescue groups every year.

Responsibilities:

• Checking in animals for spay/neuter surgeries

• Checking out animals after spay/neuter surgeries

• Helping prep animals for surgery

• Monitoring animals in Post Op

• Performing select wellness services including but not limited to: vaccinations, nail trims, ear cleanings, microchipping, and SNAP blood tests.

• Light housekeeping of kennels/lobby areas

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license/ reliable transportation

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Must be able to lift 40+ pounds
