TNR FAQs

What is a Community Cat or Feral?

These are unowned cats who live outside. Community cats can be feral or friendly stray cats.

What is TNR?

Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) is a humane and effective answer to community cat colonies. These cats are humanely trapped, spayed/neutered and vaccinated, ear tipped, and returned to the place that they call home

What is an Ear Tip?

This is when a small portion of the tip of their ear is surgically removed while they are under anesthesia for their spay/neuter. This indicates that the cat has been altered and vaccinated. This is not painful for the cat, and is necessary to identify if there are cats in the colony who look similar and still need to be fixed.
